The week at dad’s continues apace. I’ve taken a big bite out of Freud, which is reassuring after yesterday’s detour into whales. (I will admit I have a trip planned this afternoon for book buying, probably in Langley, since the local stores here have no copies of M-D.)
My brother is on his way to the lake for swimming and general youthful antics – I’m jealous! I wish I was the sort of cool adult who gets invited along to the teen parties but, alas, I am not. I wish I was swimming! And hanging out with my brother and cousins, who I like very much. We’re a pretty close knit family and it’s always good times hanging out with them. I also think it’s quite important for me, as a half generation ahead of these guys (~10 years older), to help set the stage for a close adult relationship when they get older.
The cat was a pest this morning, and attacked my feet through the blankets at around five am. I was not amused. Now he sits smugly on the arm of the couch, placing his paws repeatedly on my book to thwart my efforts at studying. Lucky for him he’s cute.
Anyway, my corn is ready to take out of the pot so I must run.
