CBC Olympic Coverage is Lame
So I finally got my computer playing videos again (Puck’s tip was the winner), so I’ve been watching some Olympics coverage on CBC. And I must say, the coverage is SUCKING hard. It’s about 75% lame emotional-manipulation interviews, ads, montages, and other such nonsense, with just a hint of the actual competitions here and there. I want to watch the actual races, not just the final ten seconds of each race spliced in with a bunch of boring news-anchor chit chat.
Where can I watch Olympic coverage online that doesn’t totally suck?

Boy we wondered if we were the only ones that felt this way about the lousy CBC coverage. For instance this morning, Sunday August 17th, we tuned into CBC at approx 9:00 AM Eastern time, to “hear” that Canada had won one gold and two bronze medals in rowing. We watched for the next three hours hoping to actually see the races. Instead all we witnessed is what you described and bunch on talk, talk, talk and 5 to 10 seconds of a couple of the races. Even Priscilla Lopes great second place performance in the women’s 100 M hurdles was only “mentioned” in passing.
CBC and that clown Ron Maclean need to learn how to do things professionally. We immediately tuned in to the French network and within a half hour saw Canada win the rowing gold. We then tuned into NBC and found “full” coverage of all three Canadian medal rowing races, along with much, much superior comment (on the Canadians) than what we had ever heard on CBC.
We will be watching NBC and the French network in the future. The CBC and most of their crew stink and are a bunch of under achieving amateurs!!!
