Less clean because hair traps sweat? Because that same sweat is still there on a bare groin, just on the skin instead. The hair itself doesn’t produce anything – oils come from the skin.

Though I accept your stated preference for not getting a mouth full of hair on the grounds of personal taste.

Also – by definition finding men as they come in the state of nature attractive cannot be a fetish. Psychiatrically speaking. And, dare I say it, evolutionarily speaking? I imagine it is quite natural to enjoy men when they are exhibiting the characteristic attributes of their gender.

Reasons not to… preference, of course – I agree a woolly thatch requires some basic grooming but not all men agree that bare is best, probably for reasons similar to mine above related to men. Again, stubble – particularly crotch stubble but also nipple and armpit stubble – is gross. Waxing avoids this but then you are in serious ingrown hair risk territory.

I call it a matter of taste.

I wouldn’t go as far as “unclean”, but “less clean”, yes.

Also, going down on an unshaven woman? UUUHGH. At least you guys are only concentrating on the area *near* our big patch of hair.

Aside from aesthetics (and ingrown hairs, which I’ve never had a problem with) there’s really no reason not to, and plenty of great reasons to do it. I’d list more, but I’m not sure what rating you want your blog at.

What is the same reason? I thought facial hair shave/not shave was just a fashion consideration?

And – she says with some shock – you think women with pubic hair are unclean as a result?!

I prefer the “landing strip” on women for that reason. Enough there to say “I am an adult” but most of it gone to add “and sex is important enough that I keep my body ready and clean for it”.

Also, I would put Gerard Butler’s shaven/unshaven odds at 50:50.

Blogo’s hair-man preference is common knowledge. I’d put that it might actually be your fetish.

Men shave “down there” for the same reason they shave their faces. And kissing is less important to us than what our private parts are used for.

Yeah, how did that happen? I can’t shake the creepy sense that fully shaven women look like children. It trips my incest/child molestation sensors even when the woman in question is clearly old enough.

The way I see it, if men want women to shave down there, they should do it themselves.

I’m still kind ticked off that the Brazilian went from being something so weird that even the women on “Sex in the City” were put off by it to being almost expected in such a short period of time.
